About

Indonesia's Hospitality Development Specialist

I work at the intersection of hospitality development, operational planning, and commercial strategy — helping developers and investors build assets across Indonesia that work as well as they look.

With 15+ years across concept development, pre-construction advisory, operator negotiations, and pre-opening management — primarily across Indonesia — my practice is built around a single conviction: that development and operations are the same discipline, just at different stages.

Development Philosophy

How I Think About Hospitality Development

01

Concept first, design second.

Too many hospitality projects start with architecture before they have a commercial concept. The result is beautiful buildings that can't be operated profitably. I always start with the concept and the operating model — then the design follows.

02

The BOH is where the guest experience is made.

Premium front-of-house requires a functioning back-of-house. Kitchen, laundry, staff spaces, circulation — these aren't afterthoughts. They're the engine room of the guest experience.

03

Operators don't rescue bad development decisions.

The assumption that a good operator will fix poor development logic is one of the most expensive misconceptions in hospitality. Operator selection and development planning must be parallel, not sequential.

04

Pre-opening is a discipline, not a checklist.

The difference between a confident opening and an operational crisis is a structured pre-opening program. Staff, systems, SOPs, and commercial activation all have to land together — and that requires a plan, not good intentions.

Geographic Focus

Indonesia Specialist

My primary market is Indonesia — with deep experience in Bali, Lombok, Jakarta, and Nusa Tenggara. I understand the specific regulatory environment, development challenges, operator landscape, and investment structures that define this market.

From PT PMA structures to mixed-use hospitality development across the archipelago — I provide advisory grounded in how development actually works in Indonesia, not how it works in theory.
